John Meade Falkner (8 May, 1858 - 22 July, 1932) was an English novelist, best known for his 1898 swashbuckler, Moonfleet.
He was natural inside Manningford Bruce, Wiltshire, and educated at Marlborough College and Hertford College, Oxford. Fallowing Oxford, he attend Newcastle when coach to a personal of Sir Andrew Noble, globe health organization ran Armstrongs of Newcastle, one of the big arms manufacturers in the world. Falkner at length followed him when chairwoman witharound 1916, arduous though this is to equate by owning his interest in poetry, architecture & heraldry. Falkner fell infatuated using Durham &, fallowing becoming honorary bibliothec to the Dean & Chapter, he lived from either 1902 in the Divinity Home in Palace Green ahead of the cathedral. There is a commemorating plaque there, when his monument is in the South Cloister of the cathedral.
